Wife started this one, didnt finish it, most of season one….I might watch more.

Its different, ugly, no good guys, all bad guys all the time, ****ed up culture that confuses revenge with terrorism of innocent people….and a circle of violence that looks like it will end badly for everyone.

Interesting for sure.

well I think the main character Doron is a "good guy"

but it demonstrates no side in a vicious war is going to be completely lily white morally

in every war both sides are going to have moral challenges

I thought the whole series was fantastic. Really shows why Israeli security forces are the best in the world. I ended up googling a lot about the history of Hamas, Hezbollah, Muslim Brotherhood, etc. I was an Arabic linguist in a previous life as well so it was nice to be able to follow along somewhat without subtitles.

no doubt but i dont know how you could really call the main dude (bald guy right) a good guy, in any way shape or form... maybe he redeems himself, but he's doing a lot of really bad things in the first few episodes....

bottom line, this series seems true to me in that this conflict is worse than most, and has more evil and bad and dirt than most, and none of the at least 'light grey' good or moral efforts that i hope americans still try to aim for (at least at the street level, obviously our senior leadership is as dirty as anyone in history these days).

I have never heard of this show. Thanks for the recommendation.

This is why I check this forum frequently. There are so many shows I'd never have run across, had I not seen them here.

It's also why I hate the current TV/Movie format, with 29 different apps, all requiring a different subscription, etc...the old model was better.

It's an Israeli show and the Israelis and Jewish Arabs are definitely they "good guy" but I think Fauda does a good job of showing that the Palestinian conflict makes all those
Involved show the evil they're capable of.
