It's hard to rank my favorite PJ albums in order but this one is definitely way up there. Came out when I was in college and I love it start to finish. Hard to believe that it was 25 years ago today already. They released this today as a tribute to the occasion:

I'd rank it a close 3rd, just behind Vs.

Such a great album. Vitalogy and No Code got a little out there (though Vitalogy has some of their best live material.), so Yield was such a breath of fresh air when PJ realized they can just be a damn good rock band.

Plus we finally got Brain of J on an album

Given to Fly probably gets the most love but Wishlist is my favorite song off the album.

I also think Do the Evolution live is x 100 than the album version.

If anyone has any 1998 tour posters they want to donate, I'm game

I think In Hiding is the most underrated PJ song.

Love Wishlist. Will need to revisit the whole album. Listen to more Pearl Jam during the warmer months when I'm outside.

Just a killer lead off hitter for an album listening to Sirius yesterday and Stone and Jeff were breaking down the album. Only caught the part about Brain of J but they were discussing how it was such a departure from Eddie's writing and that they wish they played it live more often.
I was listening to Sirius yesterday and Stone and Jeff were breaking down the album and said how that song was kind of out of left field for Eddie but that he came in with a new attitude and that they wish they played it live more often.

GreasenUSA- "In Hiding" is a top 10 PJ song of mine for sure. Billy Strings played it last night in Denver right on time.

Chipotle-"Wishlist" is such a beautiful song.

When I taught poetry to HS kids, I would use both. PJs "Wishlist" and Drive By Truckers "Outfit" to teach rhyme and rhythm.

Then they had to write their own wishlist into lyrics as well as giving advice to freshman like the dad does in Outfit.

Also, an excuse to play PJ in class.

Pilate has some of the best lyrics and worst at the same time

how do you go from
like pilate i have a dog (obeys listen kisses loves)
like pilate i have a dog

to

Stunned by my own reflection
It's looking back
sees me too clearly
And i swore i'd never go there again
not unlike a friend that gently drags you down

Inspired me to listen to some of the '98 shows. There were some great shows that tour.

Saw this and want it. I got the 25th anniversary "No Code" reissue and it's extremely badass.

I didn't give this album a chance when it first came out, I just got into it a couple years ago. My second fave now (after Vs)
