If you were a child in the late 60's, and a kid in the early 70's, you will remember this song playing on the radio and your mom singing this one that Burt wrote and played on:



Edit to add:

I might have grown up back then, but we grew up later with Grand Funk Railroad, Queen, KISS, and gravitated towards Van Halen (Roth, which was our HS soundtrack BTW), and nowdays like some hard rock like a few FFDP and Slipnot songs, but that was some well put together, quality music back then. When I chance upon it even now, I pause and listen because it was that good.

I was getting a post loaded up to make fun of Rain Drops and the fact that someone would admit liking it. I clicked the link to inspire my cynical creative juices to a higher level of snark. But dammit! That is a beautiful song.

I knew some of his songs but just went through a playlist of songs he wrote and was shocked. Pretty much every cheesy pop romantic songs from a few decades was him. Truly talented dude.
