I've long been a fan of The Doors but the more I listen the more I come to the conclusion that L.A. Woman was their masterpiece. And not because of the hits on the album. Hyacinth House is such an underrated song. Been Down So Long and Cars Hiss By My Window are great album cuts as well.

When I was in high school, about 16 or so (circa 2002), I saw a sign for a concert at the Granada Theater (lived in Dallas). Can't remember what the headlining act was, but underneath it said "Doors open at 7 pm". I called my friend up and said hey the doors are playing at the Granada tonight we gotta go. Needless to say that wasn't quite what the meaning of that statement was.
Lots of fail all around there. Probably one of the biggest moments of stupidity in my life.
