Watched it again and made me think….what/where would you go? Defend your house or just go someplace in the country that no one would go?

depending on time of year, if I was solo and only had to worry about myself I would just travel to a really remote area and probably camp out. I don't know how you could sleep that night. Not sure a tent would be wise.

With a family, that's a more tough thought.

Middle of no where. No fires, eat cold chow (it's only one night). Guard duty all night for the family. String out trip wires and trip flares 100 yards or so from my position. Anything tripping flares/rattling the noise makers on the wire is immediately answered with rapid and high amounts of fire.

Stupid movie.

Anyone look at this map and tell me you couldn't find a secluded spot.



Also, as others have said, this is Texas. It would take a huge gunfight to get near most people's houses. Let alone if this was a real thing. I'm sure everyone would own a couple of AR's. If you were starting some ****, you had better be coming in with full body armor and a riot shield, because you're going to get lit the F up.

I think about the same thing. Our mini dox is only 10lbs, but she's 14 years old with no teeth. I figure I would just dump her food on the floor, fill a huge bowl with water, and lock up on the way out. As long as they don't ring the doorbell she ain't getting out of bed, anyway.

As far as where I would go, to the deer lease in the Big Thicket. Barely anyone lives around there to begin with, and you aren't making it very far in there unless it is by foot down a cut path.

Stay at home layers upon layers of claymores acid/homemade napalm for anyone who makes it through that. And plenty of 5.56 and 30.06 and 12 gauge for anyone who makes it through that.

Explosives are not allowed as Class 5 weapons, and I would assume that goes regardless of intent (defense or assault). So I think claymores are out

There is a fair amount of "middle of nowhere" in the US. That said, a lot of people are going to have that plan. You're gonna be following each each other and stepping all over each other to get to the middle of nowhere, which makes it not so middle of nowhere anymore. Purgers likely follow too.

I think a well disguised underground bunker or safe room with disguised entry is the way to go. Can be minimalist and small inside since it's just a day.
