I know it's old, but rediscovered this over the weekend and can't stop listening. Pretty damn good from beginning to end.

Another thing I noticed and appreciated is that he has a lower Alcohol-to-Song Title ratio and lower Iconic Texas Imagery-to-Song ratio than most of his peers. His songs seem to be about something besides drinking and Texas than most Texas Country guys.

After the first wave of Texas Country guys, (Pat, Cory, Charlie, Creager), there was a flood of anybody who could halfway play a guitar trying to make it, and most weren't very good. For every Max Stalling or Wade Bowen, there were 10 guys that sucked and couldn't write about much more than chugging lone star and hanging out in Austin.

Had to do refresher on the track listing. High quality indeed. Not sure if its their best, they've put out three consecutive albums that are phenomenal. Will admit I was not much of a fan until they played chilifest in 2006.
