This can't be good. Dude has been in a freefall for years.

Part of the Jackass crew, then had his own show Viva La Bam on MTV in the early 2000's were he'd play pranks on his family and ride skateboards.

Quote:

Jesse went to the kitchen and saw [Bam] "urinating in the sink," according to the complaint.

Fletch: "is that illegal?"

Seriously, though, Julian Sands is also missing…and almost assuredly is dead. He's the spider scientist dude from Arachnophobia.

Sands is a little different. He went missing on a climbing trip in California in January. Winter ascents are always dangerous, especially given the amount of snow California got this year. I do agree that he is probably dead though, but by accident rather than probable self harm

Bam will be dead soon. I hate to see it but the guy absolutely refuses all attempts to help him get straight. I think Dunn's death broke him.

The unfortunate reality about addictions is that everyone assumes anyone who hits rock bottom is going to get their act together and turn their life around. But rock bottom has a way of starting to feel comfortable

That being said, the guy has a kid. If you can't get your life straight when you become a father, you probably are headed for the end of the line a lot faster than God intended.

I followed the Bam saga the last few years from afar on Instagram. He was an absolute train wreck posting drunk pilled out rant videos late at night. Dunn's death hit him hard but the Jackass 4 saga also took a toll on him. I know Steve-O had recently rekindled his relationship with Bam and trying to get him on the right track.

He's most likely not gonna make it much longer but that doesn't change the fact that he has family and loved ones who don't wanna see him go.

Just like any addict in a downward spiral it's a sad situation all around.

I get what you're saying, but a lot of losers have kids. If that somehow prevented immature behavior, we wouldn't have so many single parent households.

Saw them together on a podcast not too long ago, and he was talking about being sober after a long stint in rehab. They discussed further collaborations as a way to hopefully keep the momentum as well since Steve O has been sober for quite some time.

Looks like that changed just a few weeks later though. I know addiction is a struggle for most, but he doesn't seem to have had barely any success. Writing does seem to be on the wall unfortunately.

I love the Jackass stuff, and am really proud of Steve-O for turning things around and becoming a much better person, but i would not be surprised to find out all or most of the CKY/Jackass dudes had pretty awful parents growing up. Bam certainly didn't have a normal relationship with his parents.

Ironically Steve-O grew up in a very wealthy corporate executive kind of family. I think his dad was the head of either Coca-Cola or Pepsi in South America. I don't remember him ever talking about growing up in a bad household, granted just because he grew up wealthy doesn't mean it wasn't a messed up family.

Bruce Rivers has a good analysis of the situation. A lot of concern that an incident like this will spark self-harm.

He threatened to kill his family. He is in a tailspin.

From my experience and observations, it is rare for this type of father to be super present and loving in his child's life. But who knows.

Same...man in so many recent images he just appears to have those soulless dead eyes. Could be mostly from alcohol or other substances, but also depression could be a big part of it. He was not my favorite, but I will pull for anyone who is battling addiction. After seeing addiction and mental illness up close and personal, you don't wish those burdens on your worst enemies.
