I get that "Yellowstone" is not award-winning television. But Sheridan was absolutely snubbed for "1883," which was fantastic and deserved much more critical acclaim than it received.

I rewatched Episode No. 1 the other night and was reminded of how powerful it was. At least Sam Elliott was honored by SAG.

I generally like his stuff, but feel like he could have used the additional writing voices for some of the later seasons of Yellowstone

He's been the mind behind some excellent TV and movies, as well as a few duds.
Sicario, Hell or High Water, Wind River is an amazing first 4 movies.
I think he needs to do himself a favor and stop making Yellowstone content, but Im sure its hard to turn down the guaranteed money from it. The shows do well

One doesn't buy The Four Sizes without A LOT of money. Gotta make that money somewhere.

Sounds like he was a short little theater type fella who played cowboy at the ranch his parents bought.
But I do respect he bought the 6666 ranch to keep it from getting chopped into pieces.
