96 years old. One of the last (if not THE last) of the great 20th century crooners. End of an era.

Man he had a great run. We should all be so lucky to have that much fun in our sunset years. I'm thinking to shake a martini and listen to a little Tony later this evening

Yep.

The Great American Songbook -- all those great singers, beautiful melodies, creative lyrics and fantastic arrangements.

Sinatra, Martin, Bennett ... so many other greats. All gone.

Not only a great musician, but an even better human being.

In 1999 or 2000, saw Tony Bennett sing live outdoors at Wolf Trap. Was one of the more memorable musical performances I have been fortunate to attend.
