SPOILERS ARE BELOW...
So my wife and I finally finished Blacklist last night. I actually stayed up until midnight watching the last 3 episodes. the first two were great! The last, the actual Finale, might be the worst Blacklist episode in the series. An absolute dump!
The ending was terrible and was one of those endings where you feel that the writers were ready to be done so they just up and ended it. Big pile of doo doo!
What they should have done...
Ray calls Dembe and confirms he is okay after Ray gives an emergency blood transfusion to save Dembe's life. He calls Agnes and carries on the same conversation with it ending with Agnes talking about the nervous boy from school who is treating her differently.
Ray is walking throughout the Spanish countryside shortly after hanging up with Agnes and collapses. Donald catches up to him later, feels Ray's pulse, sighs, and then lets the task-force know that he has been found. The entire scene is somber and alludes that Rey is gone. Screens fades to black.
Screen fades back in at a wedding with a caption...10 years later. Agnes is marrying the nervous boy. Camera zooms out until the outdoor wedding is in the distance. The camera is now behind a man leaning against a tree wearing THE HAT!
