If you like King of Queens, I think you'll also like Yes Dear.

Much shorter run, and not nearly as good but another show with a similar vibe that had some very funny episodes.

King of Queens is one of my all time favorites as well. Easily on my Mount Rushmore of TV shows. I bought several of the seasons on DVD back in college station when that Circuit City closed down. I was a fan of all the characters. I always loved "Kirbed Enthusiasm" when Doug tries to get in shape for semi pro football.

My favorite episodes are when Bryan Cranston was their neighbor that built the above ground pool.

James looks like Rocky Balboa's baby cousin.

Great episode.

Was yes, dear the one with the lead that was a gay southern man and trying to sell the premise he really was into women.

Maybe that was Boston common... or same actor was in both?

That's him ... Anthony Clark. He's fallen off the radar ever since "Yes, Dear" was cancelled. And that was nearly 20 years ago.

"Yes, Dear" was a pretty good show. Jean Louisa Kelly played his wife. Brian Doyle Murray was a recurring character as Clark's boss.

I watch this show through its entirety at least once a year. I love Jerry Stiller, and Victor Williams is underrated as Deacon. He really plays well of Doug's wacky antics.

Thanks. I always forget about shows on YouTube.

What happened in the finale?

The apartment they had been on the waiting list for for years opens up in Manhattan. Carrie wants to move, Doug doesn't, they get to the brink of a divorce over it, then adopt a baby instead and stay in Queens and Carrie also finds out she's pregnant. They fast forward a year and they are happily juggling 2 kids and Arthur.
Flipping channels and the episode about the Manhattan apartment is on FYI right now.

*sonofabich. fyi runs these shows out of order, so I don't get to see the 2nd part.

Kevin James' wife and Leah Remini's husband both make multiple appearances in the show.

One of the interesting things about KoQ is spotting the actors who have appeared in multiple episodes, often as different people.

All this mention of how great the show was, and not even any mention of Patton Oswalt as Spence.

Shows how phenomenal the show was that we get all this way and he's not even mentioned as one reason why, but he def was.

Yep. Long ago I separated actors performances and their off camera reality, if I didn't I would have to hate 70% of shows and films.

One of our (and definitely my wife's) favorite shows ever. If she's had a rough day, it's literal therapy to watch it in the evenings after the kids go to bed.
