I guess I was right about her being kind of butch since apparently she's a lesbian.

And when I said "minor roles" I meant supporting actress. I never watched 24, but the movie I was picturing her in was Ocean's Twelve. I was about to put in my clues that in her role as investigator, she was the mother of the suspect, but that detail was hazy in my mind and I couldn't think of any movies like that and didn't want to throw anyone off.

I feel this has high potential of being a joke/troll thread. And for the record you can't just claim it was a joke/troll thread because TA was not able to come up with the answer (and instead just shouted 'Home Alone 3' a half-dozen times).

I found my answer and updated the thread - it was a TV movie named Marshal Law from 1996 that I finally remembered when MNF ran a promo for Jimmy Smits new drama.

TA knows things, but in this case it did not. But that didn't make it a troll
