Is this still a thing? They are literally on 10 different channels tonight. I didn't know they still have videos..

They don't but Paramount is still acting like MTV has cultural cache. I know I'm too old for what should be its typical target audience, but I do find it wild I didnt see a single advertisement or online ad for the award show. I wouldn't be shocked if the channel is killed off completely in the next 1 to 2 years. I don't know why cable companies agree to carry it unless its part of the Nickelodeon/Paramount Network contract

I remember when this was must see TV for my friends and I back in the 80's and up to around the mid 90's.

MTV has been involved in politics since at least '91 with Rock the Vote. Clinton campaigned on the channel in '92. Yet somehow back then we weren't victimized by this and didn't immediately label the channel as the enemy.

The only ads I've seen for this is on Comedy Central - which I leave on in the background b\c it has either The Office or Parks and Rec on a continuous loop.

I wonder if this would still hold true if you replaced 'Clinton' with 'Bush'.
