It's not great, but it works so much better than the att puck that its a game changer.

Its wireless network is robust enough to use

Right now, to stream on tv, we are plugging the ipads into the tv's hdmi physically.

1) what is the best way to cast phone/iphone apps to the tv wirelessly?

2) what is the best source for local news, a&m games, etc. without having directv?

Even some of the apps require confirmation of dtv account

Any advice is welcome

If your TV has bluetooth you can just cast to it.
If it doesnt you probably need to get an Apple tv, or a roku to provide that ability.

Local news you can get with an antenna

sports you still pretty much have to have a version of cable. So directv, youtubetv, fubo, etc

I've got a wife and two daughters who are constantly on Wi-Fi and or streaming. I work from home and require at least decent Wi-Fi. We stream multiple televisions at the same time. Starlink has been a godsend.
