The look at the beginning here sums it up to me. The look on his face. I can't explain it, he just has dead eyes as an actor. They always look the same and I just don't believe any emotion he tries to convey because of it.

Really good. It's a little long, but really picks up in the third act. Ending felt straight out of Rogue One.

Saw it last night and walked out very underwhelmed. I'd give it a C- at best. Visually it was great but the story was lame. I had no idea how this kid was a "weapon".

The design of the simulants with the holes in their head is a poor design. haha. Do you know how much dust and dirt will get in those inner mechanics? Hope they walk around with a can of compressed air to blow that dust out!

The best part of the movie was the bomb robots on the wooden bridge. Those guys were badass! Number 42...you're up! "Thank you Sargent...It was a pleasure serving you!"!

Very messy screenplay. John David Washington does not have the riz, as the kids say. I can see this movie disappointing a lot of people who were excited for it. BUT, it still somehow worked for me.

I love an epic, gritty sci-fi film with a well built world and some military and religious themes thrown in for good measure.

Greig Fraser (the cinematographer) will be known for single handedly bringing blockbuster filmmaking back into the art category. He has done Dune, The Batman and now this.

Also, after having a small role in The Righteous Gemstones and now this, I guess Sturgill Simpson is an actor now.

Reviewer: I was mesmerized by the graphics, it was a beautiful movie, but the plot was all over the place, poorly edited, and I didn't belive the emotional connection between the 2 leads at all. The movie didn't show me that America was bad, just told me and expected me to belive it.

Movie guy: I'm gonna put a full stop after mesmerized

+1 on this movie being meh. The storyline was pretty dumb to me. Gemma Chan was the only thing that made this movie worth watching to me.
