I've never seen five minutes of this garbage but I do appreciate MTV reminding the rest of the country that trailer park trash exists everywhere and is not simply relegated to the South and Midwest.
It's like a comfort food. The original is trashy but lord knows what we all would have looked like if we were filmed in our college days.
I watched a bit of the Family Reunion stuff but it's kind of boring. Mike's transformation is pretty inspiring though, he seems legitimately a good person, as does Pauly D. The rest all have some drama but for the most part they are all just family people now so it doesn't really have enough gas for hour long episodes.

The original was greatness back in the day. Perfectly cast. The stuff they would come up with: grenade whistle, GTL, "cabs are here!". I loved it. Even the reunion was kinda fun when it first came out.

Jersey Shore S1 was a top five season of reality television ever. Infinitely watchable to this day.

This is the first time I've ever actually watched any of this show, and I've got to say that I agree with the girl. She didn't smack him. She barely touched him... That said, everyone in that clip deserved to be punched in the face.
On our flight to Vegas last week, there were a bunch of college aged kids talking about going to some club where Pauly D was DJing. One of them said to the others "yeah he was on some TV show that I can't remember the name of."

There's an episode of JS Family Reunion where Pauly D pranks the girls into believing there's an alien invasion and they lose their minds. That one was pretty entertaining.
The original Jersey Shore was great tv. I stopped watching after the cast started getting married, having kids, and getting sober. Not entertaining watching a bunch of sober people not partying lol.

Still holds up
Original Jersey Shore was a must see trainwreck. Loved it. Probably could have been named Ridiculousness on its own merits.
