Season one was good and worth watching.

On the whole I preferred the original series - Most of the story lines were directly from Michael Connelly's books and the cast of recurring characters was better and their relationships more well developed.

Season 2 is off to a solid start but one of the main story lines is not Connelly's and the other main one appears to be deviating a lot from the book - The Crossing. Not saying the plots aren't good - just saying they're not pure Connelly.

His daughter and half Korean hacker buddy were both laughably bad and super annoying this season. Big drop off from peak Bosch.

Yeah, I didn't think Mo or his story line with the FBI agent brought anything to the table. Less Maddie = better show. They need to bring in the Renee Ballard character into the series.

They would have been better off following the book more closely and adding more time for that and deleting some Mo and Maddie and maybe dropping an episode.

Overall still very entertaining but much like Game of Thrones the farther the TV writers stray from the original books the weaker the story lines and characters.

Still very much looking forward to season 3.

I didn't mind any of the Mo or Maddie stuff. They were close enough with Bosch's character that it didn't seem like a different story to me. I will say that the reveal of the girlfriend being FBI was well-executed as was Mo's turnabout on her.

Mo's turnabout on the FBI was done really well. I think Mo is ok as just a minor character but I wouldn't expand his role much beyond that.

Fans of the show (who haven't read the novels) should probably read the most recent one from 2022. The show gave a pretty good foreshadowing.

It's good for what it is. I can binge through it pretty quickly and feel satisfied once it's over.

If you say you hate the state of politics in this nation and you don't get involved in it, you obviously don't hate the state of politics in this nation.

Just finished S2, great ending that I didn't see coming.

Loved all the new actors like Anthony Michael Hall and Max Martini from "The Unit". Funny since his on screen wife in The Unit was in a previous season.
