My brother sent me this today. Not sure who to give MVP to - Sandler, Farley or Hartman for me.
He seems like a good sport about his image. Here he is in "Two and a Half Men."G.I.Bro said:
I love that Michael Bolton doesn't take himself too seriously, between this and the lonely island song
My first guess was Hartman was Michael McDonaldZombie Jon Snow said:

That was excruciating in the best way possible.
The number of impressions in a short time was impressive. Sandler killed. And I loved Wilson Phillips with Chris Farley (ouch) and Dylan and a mute Tom Petty.
Who the hell was Chris Rock supposed to be at the beginning? Not Whoopie she looked too good. tina turner maybe but why didn't she sing?
EDIT - ok I read the comments and it was Whoopi and Rick Dees at the start. Wasted Rocks talent there. Let him be Stevie Wonder or MJ or something. Hell he could have been Eddie Murphy who tried a singing career that would have been funny.
but that's an incredible talent list of what has to be near peak SNL cast:
Dana Carvey ... Bob Dylan
Dana Carvey ... Casey Kasem
Chris Farley ... Carnie Wilson
Laurie Shephard ... Chynna Phillips
Phil Hartman ... Kenny Rogers
Jan Hooks ... Diana Ross
Victoria Jackson ... Cyndi Lauper
Tim Meadows ... Lenny Kravitz

Okay, now somebody pull up the "Men's Synchronized Swimming" skit! That one was probably the funniest thing I ever saw on SNL, and I'm partial to the original cast... I think that skit has been memory holed, unfortunately.
Hard to disagree with that. I'd extend that to the mass firing of Farley, Sandler, Norm. '95?$240 Worth of Pudding said:Zombie Jon Snow said:

Yup. The old chestnut is that everyone's "best" cast was the one from when they were in high school.
I've said this many times throughout the years but in this case I think it's objectively the truth for folks my age. I graduated HS in '92 and the cast from about '88-'92 was just effing incredible.
I was going to make the same comment but don't even remember Jan Hooks having died. I'm only 9 years behind that news. How unfortunate.torrid said:
Were she still alive, Jan Hooks would be cancelled for doing a blackface Diana Ross.

I was in HS in the late 90's and early 2000's at the peak of the solid Will Ferrell and Daryl Hammond era...and to me it's no contest...the early and mid 90's cast was by far the best.Quote:

Thanks agdoc, good find!
I think the version I saw used a lot/most of the same material but was edited differently. Along with Martin Short saying "I'm not a STRONG swimmer" there's another part where he sheepishly looks at the camera and says "I don't SWIM."
Anyway, thanks again for the link!
