Check out the Wallflowers documentary if you haven't already. Saw it on a flight recently and bought back memories of how great that album was.

One who I've learned to appreciate more and more as I've gotten older.

Glad I got to see him play live once, even if it was only a halftime show.

BTW, as I'm writing this message in a bar the guy playing acoustic covers breaks into American Girl, how appropriate.

Just watched today. Love the insight to the moments and the retrospective 30 years later by bandmates and Rubin. Wallflowers gets better as I listen to it. Crazy we lost both Prince and Petty within a year to similar circumstances. Geniuses.

Dave Grohl tells a great story in his book about how he was offered a job in the Wallflowers after Cobain died.

It was the Heartbreakers, wasn't it? Not Wallflowers.

Don't forget his contribution to TV, playing Lucky on King of the Hill.

I believe the last song he had make the charts was "I Should Have Known It" off Mojo. Awesome song, it has supplanted all his other greats, in my book, as his best!

Sadly, I traded in a car and left my Mojo cd in the deck...
