Understand where you are coming from. I think one day Taylor will pay it forward and produce more. And that might be her niche. Don't forget that she was a teen knocking on doors in Nashville looking for people to take a chance on her. Her lyrics just relate to about every suburban white girl that ever lived. She's made a few political stances as well that has gained her more followers. Every place she tours, she donates to the local food banks.
But back to your original comment, yeah, I know there are thousands of Taylors trying to make it but the market has become very saturated with IG, Spotify and how easy it is to record a song in your house and upload it with some decent software and hardware. That wasn't the case when she was grinding in the early 2000s.
I think she is a great example of how young singers and acts can get exploited by record companies because they are so eager to "make it" and don't know any better. She said "you know what, I'll re-record every album that they won't sell back to me ". I think she is advocating for the younger girls/guys coming up by leading by example and being so public about what happened.
