Hopefully it doesn't detract from the film Cage Renaissance. I've been loving his wild streak the past few years. Pretty much everything he's made since Pig has been absolutely insane. Willys Wonderland, Mandy, Color out of Space, etc. It would be a shame if he toned down his projects to start making TV.

He is someone I would live to sit down and watch a movie with. Any movie. He just knows so much and had so much experience and insight.

Ironically he would have been a great Walter White.

What other TV roles would he be perfect for if he was aware that TV existed?

I have not seen any of those movies and just watched all three trailers and oh man those look nuts. Not my usual go to movies but may have to give Willys Wonderland a try.

Willy's Wonderland came out before the 5NaF movie but is obviously based on it.

It is….a masterpiece of terribly awesome in the most fun way!

"Quiet drifter". Apparently Nick Cage does not have one line of dialogue in the entire movie which I can't decide if that is disappointing or potentially awesome.

My least favorite of his recent films. Did not like and would not recommend it to anyone.

He needs to show up in the Mandalorian as Mando's biggest fan.

I don't want to derail the thread by naming names and getting into silly side debates, but it's easy to imagine a couple detective or mystery shows that started out interesting but the characters fell flat, would have been more interesting with him. He's got enough range that it's not hard to see him in a number of roles. The biggest challenge would be getting critics to seriously review the show instead of just riffing on Nick Cage.

It's kind of funny that in 2023 he just watched BB and decided that TV could be worthwile, but his reasoning makes sense.

If Stallone can pull off Tulsa King then Nic Cage would be able to do it given the right show.

I haven't finished Tulsa King but it's surprisingly entertaining.

I think Cage would be more likely to be involved in a "prestige" type of tv show, vs something like Tulsa King.
