Great show- it's a Sheridan post Civil War western. I'm not sure how accurate it is, but we enjoyed it. Good story, acting was a little thick but you liked the characters, good action. Never new his story, but now we do! Pretty strong ending. Hoping this is the first of a "Lawmen" anthology.

Finished the finale last night. It was a good watch but not enjoyable at all, if that makes sense. Like there's nothing lighthearted or fun about the whole thing. Just everyone having a bad time the entire show.

But yeah, I'd still watch more of it if they continue the series.

Just finished it. Very solid series.

I'm not sure how historically accurate some of it is - particularly Barry Pepper's character. But I like the way they developed the character of Bass Reeves. He's not portrayed to be some kind of 'superman' - but you see him battle his demons and struggle with the weight of the badge. Oyelowo makes him a very 'human' character that's easy to root for.

I also think it does a fair job of portraying the opposition to what Reeves is doing from both extremes.

Dennis Quaid, Barry Pepper, and Donald Sutherland were excellent choices in the supporting cast.

Pepper was great; didn't anticipate the twist ending at all...

Enjoyed it. I thought Barry Pepper was amazing as Esau. Would love to start seeing him in more things again.

I wish they would have kept Sherrill's character a little less evil.

The Rib told me that they will make other limited series based on other Lawmen. Looking forward to it!
