I'm sure most of us listen and watch a lot of audio and/or video content at home nowadays but we never really talk about what we use to do that with. I'm no "expert" but like many of you I have a lot of learned experience from many years of audio/video use that I'm sure some people with less experience can utilize. So lets have this thread be a combo of Q&A for audio/video discussions as well as a show and tell of what each of us use.

I've recently re-done my setup so I need to grab some photos first then I'll post what I'm using later today.

Do you use that for gaming or you just like the way it looks?

Here's mine. I use to run separate theater and 2ch audio systems in different rooms but have recently combined the two into one. So now I combined everything into a 7.2.4 system that can do both.

Revel speakers all around with 2 Rythmik subs (1 ported 1 sealed). For electronics I'm running a Marantz AV10, 3 class D amps (2 Buckeye and 1 from March Audio), Sony 4K player and a WiiM Pro (for Tidal connect). Flat screen is a 75" Sony bought last year - I don't actually remember the model of it. I use to use a Sony projector with a 110" screen but that was in a blackout room - the flat screen is much better for the living area it's in now.

The main seating is 2 recliners in the middle of the room (mostly centered under the atmos speakers). L shaped couch in the back corner for kids and visitors as well as a table on the back wall for playing games (while listening to music).

I also have some 4" thick sound absorbers I made out of rock wool insulation and some fabric from Guillford of Maine. I put these on the ceiling, back wall and behind the front main speakers.

Good lord.

We moved a few months ago and we lost our converted media room in the process. It was a sitting room connected to our master bedroom where I was running a flagship 65' LG OLED 4k with a Klipsch 5.1 setup and Denon AV. It was nice because I had the speakers all configured optimally. We also had other media setups in the house because it was built for entertaining.

After we moved, all of my old AV equipment is sitting in a closet, so I have a full Klipsch 5.1 system, a Marantz subwoofer, a Denon AV, and a Sony AV collecting dust. We converted one guest bedroom to my office where I put the LG OLED in my office with the Gen 1 Playbar and subwoofer for now because it's plenty of sound for the small space. I could do a 2.1 in my office with the Klipsch and might still do that, but SONOS has made stuff so easy with good enough sound for how our rooms are configured it's hard not to just do that.

We converted another guest bedroom to a fitness room where I put my other 65' LG 4k and just using tv speakers on that one. Don't need a full AV setup in that room.
