Lol. Yes to both.
It was installed correctly. However, I have 5 children under 10. Sooo, one day the two boys knocked it out, and I told them to re-install it. It was good enough, and I've had other projects that keep me too busy to care.
And I'm not sure why, my living room became a subject, but it was determined that my tv is too small, and that I am an lol poor for not getting something bigger.

I am envious of that fine wood paneling. Beautiful wall you have there and I'm not a tv geek myself, that set is plenty big enough for me. However, I couldn't watch that TV as my eyes would always be drawn to that one upside down glass panel instead of what was on the tv screen. I would have to do something about that or I might not even be able to sleep at night knowing it looks like that.
When my kids were 5 and 3 about ten years ago I bought a DVD of HR Pufnstuff as I loved the Krofft movies and shows as a kid. They liked it but one night the wife and I went on a date and when we came back the babysitter was all freaked out. My son had her play the DVD but she says she was so creeped out by the whole thing she would only let them watch the first 1/3 of the movie.
Lol. Well we are snowed in today, so I'll probably go fix it.
We have debated painting the wood paneling or not… while we Don't necessarily like the look, thst type of wall covering was expensive as hell to install back in the 1980's and while it dates the home, it also gives it character outside of everyone else who has painted theirs in the neighborhood.

Keep the badass paneling it adds character to the room. I envision that you have many leather bound books and your den smells of rich mahogany.

There was also dumpster man in Mulholland Drive, but that bordered a closer to horror.

Back to topic, Jackie Earle Haley as the sex offender in Little Children. Probably the creepiest portrayal of any character I have ever seen.
