It holds up as a good depiction of the 80's yuppie lifestyle, along with Wall Street, Secret of My Success. I think it would also resonate with today's generation of post-grads trying to find their way. Just replace the sax with a DJ booth, change the newspaper writer to a blogger, change the coke to molly or some prescription drugs and it is 2024.
