surprisingly a very good film.

great cast. even the black gangster guy from Boardwalk Empire and Wire (I think he just died in real life) is in it.

southern.

interesting story actually something new and not regurgitated pablum like so much of Hollywood.

Watched a very small bit of ID4: Part 2 this weekend and had the discussion that if you're Liam Hemsworth, you have to imagine you're only getting jobs because Chris said no or they can't afford him.

They did a lot of great covers in that movie. Wish I could find the soundtrack.

at first I thought the co-lead (and I think the guy who wrote it and directed as well) was the actor who played Richard Jewell and was just in Queenpins again with Vince Vaughan

but I think this guy is someone else.

he did a great job. also Brolin who plays the girlfriend was excellent.

I am guessing it's Josh Brolin's daughter?

It is Josh Brolin's daughter and she had a pretty big arc on Yellowstone as Jimmy's girlfriend.

Just watched it.

It's a good movie. I enjoyed it. Well acted.

The guy who plays Swin does a really good job, as does Brolin's daughter. I couldn't figure out where I'd seen her before until I looked at IMDb.

Thanks for the recommendation!

Just to add: Vince Vaughn can be hit or miss for me but he is very good in this.

Just saw this, was drawn by the cast. VV and JM.
Well acted, and decent story, but I came away just pissed off.

The entire reason they stayed and kept running the job was because they didn't want Frog to think they killed Bright right? So when Her told them Frog wanted to know what happened, how in the hell do they not just say "tell Frog we want to meet up and tell him what happened?"
Like they just suddenly decided they were going to be bad asses and not tell anyone?

I just sucked because it was like, there were no bad guys. They could have all worked together perfectly.
