We're almost through with it.

Very much a "slow burn" kind of show, but I've really liked it. The cinematography is beautiful.

Beautifully shot, makes up for some really bad casting decisions. Good show overall though.

Dakota Fanning and Freddie were the two head scratchers for me. DIdn't mind any of the other ones.

Bingo. The casting of Freddie was so bad it bordered on absurd. Apparently that's Stings "non binary" son. So yeah, let's have them play a clearly male part…smh.

I thought the casting was fantastic. Andrew Scott was incredible. I thought Dakota Fanning and Johnny Flynn were great as wealthy people who think they are extraordinary who are both pretty average and kind of unbearable. The inspector was great. I also really liked the choice for Freddie… in that it brought a lot of a wtf is about to be revealed vibe to it when he's grilling Tom.

It was very nice of everyone not going anywhere while that blood was on everything.

I think Dakota is a great actress....just didn't think she had the looks for that role. Maybe I'm just shallow.

Yeah maybe.

I think that works in this version because they are rivals in this one, somewhat equals and both seem to be using Dickie to an extent. Probably wouldn't work as well if Marge was a bombshell I think.

Finished the series on Saturday. Such a wonderfully shot show, really impressive. Makes you want to be in that time and place. It was also noticeable how, with only a couple of exceptions, how few people were on-screen at any one time. Most scenes had less than 3 people; had to be an intentional choice for a show set in Rome and Venice.

Would've been nice for Sigourney Weaver to make a cameo.

This is prestige TV. Outstanding cinematography could not look away
