Bored and Saw That 90's Show is on Hulu. I remember That 70's Show was entertaining, though I never watched all of it.

Wonder if it's just my age showing, or is the acting in certain remakes like That 90's Show, Girl Meets World, Fuller House, etc., kinda bad? Specifically in the adolescent actors/actresses. A few characters aren't bad, but otherwise they just don't seem natural, like they're trying to be over the top dramatic.

Its a money grab so its not like its a bunch of writers, producers and actors putting their passion in it like the first time. That being said reboots probably have a better success rate than original series do.

I feel like there's something to be said for a show like That 70's Show which hit its stride and you can see the chemistry of the cast over the body of work. The new show hasn't had time to grow into its potential. And maybe it never will, but it's easy to compare against the best of the old show and say the new stuff doesn't measure up.

Take something like Star Trek: TNG. If you check out those early episodes today, they are almost painful to watch compared to the later seasons you remember being pretty good.

It's a style of acting -- or overacting -- made popular by The Disney Channel and Nickelodeon that started in the late 2000s.

Earlier Disney Channel shows had child actors who were less precocious and over-animated, but eventually they all adopted the manic style that is popular now.
