Another long-time member of Deadliest Catch has died way too young. Nick from The Northwestern died yesterday at the age of 59. Always seemed like a good guy.

I think you're thinking of a different guy. Nick was a pretty laid back guy. At least on the show.

He had a burst appendix on the boat several years ago. He ended up suing Sig claiming he was denied timely medical care.

Apparently the burst appendix revealed a cancerous tumor back in 2020, so this may be the eventual end of what started then
