I'm showing my age here, but there are four albums I think have no bad tracks. Not all of them are great, but all are at least good.
In keeping with the theme of the thread my favorite four track run from these albums are in bold:

Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young Dj vu
1. Carry On
2. Teach Your Children
3. Almost Cut My Hair
4. Helpless
5. Woodstock
6. Dj vu
7. Our House
8. 4 + 20
9. Country Girl
10. Everybody I Love You
I have to admit, Helpless is my favorite track on the album, even if it isn't in the run of four.

Santana Santana
1. Waiting (instrumental)
2. Evil Ways
3. Shades of Time
4. Savor (instrumental)
5. Persuasion
6. Treat (instrumental)
7. You Just Don't Care
8. Soul Sacrifice (instrumental)

Again, my favorite song isn't in the run; it is Soul Sacrifice.

Elton John Goodbye Yellow Brick Road
1. Funeral for a Friend/Love Lies Bleeding
2. Candle in the Wind
3. Bennie and the Jets
4. Goodbye Yellow Brick Road
5. This Song Has No Title
6. Grey Seal
7. Jamaica Jerk-Off
8. I've Seen That Movie Too
9. Sweet Painted Lady
10. The Ballad of Danny Bailey (1909-1934)
11. Dirty Little Girl
12. All the Girls Love Alice
13. Your Sister Can't Twist (but She Can Rock 'n Roll)
14. Saturday Night's Alright for Fighting
15. Roy Rogers
16. Social Disease
17. Harmony

The Who Who's Next
1. Baba O'Riley
2. Bargain
3. Love Ain't for Keeping
4. My Wife
5. The Song Is Over
6. Getting in Tune
7. Going Mobile
8. Behind Blue Eyes
9. Won't Get Fooled Again

Pick any four; this is one of the best albums ever recorded, IMO. Won't Get Fooled is one of my all time favorite songs.

Hadn't seen this one yet...if you remove the filler track #6, Tool's Lateralus had a fantastic sequence:

5. Schism
7. Parabola
8. Ticks & Leaches
9. Lateralus

While reading this, Santana's Soul Sacrifice from the Woodstock Experience is currently blasting on my music stream. Over 11 minutes of greatness.

Gangland is not good, but the other 3 are amazing.

That megadeth 4 song series is pretty amazing. I'm not a big megadeth fan but those are great songs.

That whole album. Beginning to end. Very underrated. I might move down a little further in the track listing to include My Curse.

Yeah, not much I could do about Gangland being in the middle of 3 great songs.
I think I might have to head up to Houston to see Megadeth in August.
I was really hoping to find a good run of 4 songs by Dokken, Motley Crue, or Ratt but I couldn't find it.

One reason I had to use the Internet to look up the correct song order is because when I was a kid in Saudi Arabia, the pirated cassette tapes we bought in the tape souks frequently had songs out of order, wrong titles or in some cases, they filled extra space on the cassette with songs from other albums.

Prime example was my David Lee Roth - "Crazy from the Heat" cassette where they added a bunch of songs from Van Halen I

Dio - Last in Line (Side One)
1 - We Rock
2 - Last in Line
3 - Breathless (not great but...)
4 - I Speed at Night

And for your six degrees of separation, circa 2006, I was taking Jimmy Bain to LAX one night and we were listening to Jim Ladd on 95.5 KLOS and he played "We Rock". We got to talking about the fact that Jimmy helped write the song. Or in his Scottish accent - he "hulped reet et"

Jimmy started talking about what a pain in the ass it was to record that song because they all lived in the Valley but Ronnie made them drive down The 405 to a studio in Culver City.

Aerosmith - Toys in the Attic (side 2)

1. "Sweet Emotion"
2. "No More No More"
3. "Round and Round"
4. "You See Me Crying"

if not for the awkward placement of "Uncle Salty" and "Big Ten Inch Record" (both of which I like okay, but don't love) this album had great potential in this category!!!

And did we decide live albums were cheating?

'cause Joe Ely - Live at Liberty Lunch is a desert island album without a single bad song on it.

I'll go with

Joe Ely - Love and Danger and pick the stretch of 4 songs that has 2 REK covers in it...
5. "The Road Goes On Forever"
6. "Settle for Love"
7. "Highways and Heartaches"
8. "Whenever Kindness Fails"

This is a great, great album which contains unheralded but truly awesome guitar work from David Grissom. Listen to his 2 solos (especially 2nd one) on Row of Dominoes. The solos blend with the song seamlessly and add to the overall. He also does superb guitar work on Letter to L.A.

Interesting. I bought it when it came out as well but don't even have a CD player anymore and don't remember the track listing from the CD. I just pulled it up online and went with it. Any idea when and why the order was changed?

wiki has a blurb on it.
My version is apparently the 'wrong' way.. but it's the only way I know. I listened to that album a lot of times front to back in my early teens.

Having rain when i die fade out, then fade back in, I absolutely hear sick man start next. And same when hearing that fade out of angry chair, my mind goes to that opening Aflat minor chord to down in a hole, my fav. track on the album.

I can't say I've ever done a full album listen to dirt in the 'correct' order. It would def. mess with my memories!

You could almost take any 4 consecutive from Peter Gabriel So..... but 2-5 is my favorite

1. "Red Rain" 5:39
-----------------------------------
2. "Sledgehammer" 5:12
3. "Don't Give Up" 6:33
4. "That Voice Again" 4:53
5. "In Your Eyes" 5:27
------------------------------------
6. "Mercy Street" 6:22
7. "Big Time" 4:28
8. "We Do What We're Told (Milgram's 37)" 3:22
9. "This Is the Picture (Excellent Birds)" 4:25

And the first 4 from his next album Us are also solid

1. "Come Talk to Me" 7:06
2. "Love to Be Loved" 5:18
3. "Blood of Eden" 6:38
4. "Steam" 6:03
