What is your annual July 4th viewing?

I alternate between The Patriot, Team America, The Sandlot and Independence Day.

The Patriot, Jaws, and Independence Day.

Edit to add - I'll be up all night smoking a brisket, so thinking about adding a baseball movie to this year's rotation, probably The Natural.

My ranking:

1. Jaws
2. Independence Day
3. The Sandlot
4. The Patriot

I tried doing a top 5, but these are really the ones that feel like true July 4th movies.

Despite having many go to xmas movies I cannot say I have a go to J4 movie.

I guess it would have to be Jaws if I picked one but that is more of a just go to summer/beach trip movie. Not necessarily the 4th - although of course it was set over that holiday weekend.

My J4 tradition though is definitely seeing a new movie - we went to Quiet Place Day One yesterday.

Oddly enough I first saw Jaws in theaters in the dead of winter - because we lived overseas (in S. Korea) and the movie did not reach us at AAFES theaters on base until January or February of 1976. We had all heard about it though and despite freezing temps there were lines around the block every day for the one screen theater with 4 shows a day. Maybe people who saw it in the states on or around J4 have more of that connection because of it.
