Nelson is a common enough name that I didn't even make any connection to his dad when I first started hearing his music and liking it. Not sure how big a catalog he has though.

Saw him open for Band of Heathens about ten years ago or so at Fitzgeralds. Great show. I heard a few people in the crowd who didn't know who he was say "this guy sounds like Willie"

I like the song 'Bad Case'.

Saw him and Promise of the Real a few months ago for the first (and seemingly last) time and they were fantastic. I particularly love this song:

I liked him at first for his Willie voice. But I'm really starting to like his original songs. "Lotta Fun" and "Fool me Once" are in my current rotation.

I saw him open for Willie in San Diego about 10 years ago. Hadn't heard of him before that, but he put on a great set and had a number of good original songs.

It was enough to get me to buy one of his albums. I don't think I'd seek him out as a headliner, but if he was opening for someone I was on the fence about, it would probably be enough to get me to go.

This tempo shift turned me off of Willie live. Doesn't sound right and honestly just feels like he just wants to get the gig over.

Yes, started back in late 90's. I agree he just steamrolled through his set like he had better things to do.
