Her portrayal of the character was pretty good. She didn't look like Wendy from the novel but was otherwise strong. It's Jack Torrance whose character was mangled from the book to the film.

As a kid, her Faerie Tale Theatre show freaked me out much more than The Shining ever did as an adult. Jeff Goldblum as the big bad wolf was horrifying.
