We watched this movie on Netflix last night and it was awesome. Felt like 1981's Dragonslayer to me. If you're just trying to find a fun movie to watch and like dragons or medieval settings, check this one out.

Agreed its pretty good.

And when you finish that watch My Lady Jane for some great medieval comedy - I think this one flew under a lot of people's radar.

That one was fun.

Damsel was a fun movie. I'll definitely have to check out My Lady Jane.

Are either of these something I can watch with my wife and she'll be entertained?

Or is this a guy/dork/sci-fi movie that my wife, who is not a sci-fi/fantasy fan at all, will roll her eyes a few times and fall asleep.

For example, I loved the Chris Pine + Dungeons and Dragons movie as a great popcorn flick, but I watched it alone b/c I knew she would hate it.

I thought it's more fairytale than fantasy, if that makes any sense. My SO liked it.

My wife really liked it and while she likes some sci fi stuff, she is by no means a nerd or me. I think she'll like it as an action movie.

Probably Damsel - Damsel is more action and fantasy , MLJ more comedy and light fantasy - more alt history. MLJ probably also not really young kid friendly - adult humor, lots of cussing, and some nudity/sex.
