That final ranking was rather upsetting. I"d also argue "Nightmare Before Christmas" does not belong on the list since musicals are different than a pure supporting score.

Good call on Shore. While he also did LOTR/The Hobbit, my first exposure to him was his magnificent score for The Silence of the Lambs.

I'll probably get roasted, but no mention of Henry Mancini? He had the soundtrack to some big movies;

The Pink Panther, and sequels
Two Academy Awards and 20 Grammys won.
