Overall, I thought Walsh did a great job of exposing the race industry and their primary hustle.
The main problem with this movie is that the people who need to see it are never going to see it.
I was a little wary when he started talking to lower income White folks in "The South" but it wasn't too bad.
Some of the setups were pretty funny but I didn't care so much for Walsh's antics.
I think that it would have been just as interesting if he let these people just keep talking instead of dropping plates, interrupting them, etc. But on the other hand, if it was just edited clips and sound bites, people could easily dismiss it. With his antics interjected, it was undeniable that it was authentic.
The seminar at the end was not surprising since I used to live in LA and know the kind of people you can bring in for a $100/day payday.
There were a few parts where I was just stunned at what the subjects said. Particularly during the White Woman dinner.
The post credits scene was hilarious.
I didn't find it as funny as most because I've been working for organizations based in the SF Bay Area for the past 15 years. So I'm pretty far over all the race guilt BS. I've known it's nothing but a $$$$$ racket for a long time. Even knowing that, I was pretty shocked at some of the fees he paid these race hustlers.
