The actor Vincent D'onofrio who played Leonard "Private Pyle" Lawrence in " Full Metal Jacket" had sexual intercourse some 33 years ago which impregnated a lady who gave birth to a girl who would go on to star in the above mentioned television show

Watched this yesterday (binged the whole thing) and while the acting was great and I really enjoyed how well the different stories and timeliness were handled....I'm not sure how I felt overall. The opening speech by the award presenter pretty much told you that you'd be lied to, but I still didn't really appreciate it. I felt the build up and all the readers hating the woman in the book was overblown by what she actually did? I thought she was going to be accused of a lot worse. Then the final episode was kinda spoiled for me with the trigger warning. Idk. Very well made series, just not a big fan of the story I guess.
