If you're on Twitter at all I'm sure you've seen his tweet storms, which are absolutely ludicrous, but Dude bought a Superbowl ad in the LA area yesterday that was just him showing his new grill in to his iphone camera and then he told everyone to go to yeezy.com where he is selling all of one item. I wonder if it even ships.

Just realized the item is labeled HH and I'm sure you can guess what that stands for.

Deep down, I hope this is some sort of Andy Kaufman-esque bit he's doing, but I don't think so. Dude is just nuts.

It must have just been taken down. I have it in my cart and it still appears. I'm half tempted to order it just to see what the hell actually shows up.

Funny reading all the terms and conditions on the menu for that site. Clearly all that legal jargon was copied and pasted from another site….especially loved the part where it stated last updated November 2024.

There's an email address you can send if you need help with your order and also a mailing address under one of the options….

Need to switch to "Tops Drop" or "Knockin Doors Down" anyways...extend the intros to build up hype and then BOOM.

I get that there are gold diggers out there, but how the hell is this chick still with him? First off (a) he is completely psycho and seemingly unstable, and (b) he walks her around naked or almost naked everywhere they go, like his pet.

Small part of me still wonders if it's a bit and both of them are having the times of their lives.

This is very likely the case, almost certainly. Sad, but my wife's cousin had a hyper-manic mental meltdown while getting her phd at Stanford about 13-14 years ago and was posting the CRAAAAZIEST sh** on facebook.

Normally a quiet, shy, reserved and highly responsible Korean-American bookworm, and out of nowhere she started posting the most lewd, racially offensive and flat-out nonsensical stuff just non-stop. Luckily she got the help she needed, but I can't imagine how much shame and embarrassment she likely felt afterwards. All of her fellow students and family were witnessing this meltdown.

Wife (gf at time) and I just both assumed she got hacked by some lunatic, until she called her and realized her brain was very unwell . The theory was that all of the pressure from her parents and school just triggered her first "break", but who knows.

Over my ski's obviously, but I have heard it is VERY hard to treat. Give them too much or too little or at the wrong time, they might kill themselves....or someone else (obvious extreme example). It's a hot mess and I can't imagine having a loved one going through this.

I got a job once and got paired up with a bipolar guy to mentor me. We were on the road all the time and the cheap ass owner made is double up in hotel rooms. So, all day in the truck with this crazy ass, then share a room with him. Dude would be cool as hell when his bipolar was swinging the right way, but without warning, he would swing and just be the worst ahole ever. I used to chug down a sixer of talls on the tailgate, then go pass out so I didn't have to talk to him. Eventually dude flunked a drug test and had to resign. Cool story, I know.
Anyway, the cool story was to share what I learned from it all. Dude said the medicine made him feel bad, but he was a productive member of society. He would do it for a while until something broke him, then he would skip a couple doses and go completely off the rails. He said he felt awesome when off the meds, even the crashes, but the rest of the world felt awful because of him. I almost felt pity for him, but then I remember how ****ing awful he made things for me and say **** him.

A friend of mine from church developed it in his late 20s and early 30s.

Godly, wholesome, cardiac surgeon just went nuts around 29 and thought the government/world was out to get him. Was one of the smartest and most humble men I ever knew and something just flipped.

Didn't want his wife and daughter to see him like that any more and took his own life when he was "lucid"

It's very tough to see families go through this. Monthly injections help out a ton. Abilify.

The care giver burnout can be exhausting and then the people suffering with bipolar in turn get upset because their loved ones "don't love me or understand me". So they wind up in a mental health hospital. Half of my caseload was Emergency Detention from wanting harm themselves or making threats to harm others.

Have you ever tried to lead a group therapy session with multiple people in mania? Hyperverbal city!

Imagine three Kanye's in a room just shouting out whatever is on top of their head and cutting each other off every 10 seconds. Just wild grandiose thoughts, ideas and somehow they are always rich.

The sad part is being so manic or paranoid that they refuse to get lithium or medicine because they don't think anything is wrong with them or the hospital is trying to "poison" them. If I had a nickel for every time I heard say "I'm going to sue this place"….then I'd be a rich man.

Anyways…..hope he can figure out a way to deal with those demons.

In the past I've worked with an organization and therefore know several people (some close to me) with mood disorders ranging from Bipolar I and Bipolar II to Cyclothymia. It's treatable, but it is difficult and and can be very expensive. Many of these people are living off disability and cannot hold onto employment making it an uphill battle. They turn to self-medicating and are then given a dual-diagnosis. Still, I'm a believer that you have to accept the cards you're dealt and then take responsibility for it and support/advocate for yourself...just like with anything else.

The real obstacle is that much of the public is completely uneducated and lack empathy, as several on this thread have illustrated. No one asks for this disease and there is strong evidence that it is hereditary. If we were talking about someone having diabetes or cancer or dementia, the optics would be much different and there would be more compassion.

There are always extreme cases, but like with any illness it falls on a spectrum. Not everyone that has some kind of episode or public snafu is bipolar. Calling people bipolar as an insult is also not helpful. Claiming that anyone that is having a bad day/week is bipolar isn't helpful. Snide remarks of them being off their meds - not helpful or supportive.

The U.S. has made strides but mental illness still carries a hurtful stigma. We have a long way to go.
