You underestimate the speed of modern streaming "journalism". 5 months, tops.

I doubt the dog ate the pills from a crate. It probably starved or dehydrated to death.Quote:
One of the couple's three dogs also was found dead in a crate in a bathroom closet near Arakawa...
...Dogs do not get sick from hantavirus, said Erin Phipps, a veterinarian with the New Mexico Health Department. A necropsy will be done on the dog. The sheriff considers this an open investigation until they finish checking into cellphone data and receive results of the dog's necropsy.

I cling desperately to the hope of AI and the medical advancements it promises to bring over the next decade or so, the diseases it will cure, etc. Because growing that old otherwise often sounds like a nightmare hellscape I'd like to avoid at all costs.

It doesn't help that virtually all the money funneled in to Alzheimer's research over the last decade plus were given to people faking their research results. Absolute boondoggle. I legitimately wonder how much really good research was disregarded because a bunch of scam artist scientists were the chosen ones.

I would say I was off base here, this was significant. They were already reclusive, but then not seen at all. I would guess he developed cognitive issues, and they just completely withdrew from going out in public.
What gets me is he had money and family. Very sad to have died this way, even if he made ot to 95.
There are certain years/decades where more money went to AIDS research than cancer (per NIH/HHS numbers).Sea Speed said:TCTTS said:
