The restaurant "Doc Holliday's" on Galveston Island has Tombstone on a loop.

It's impossible to eat dinner and ignore the movie.
And then you get stuck there for a lot longer than you expected.

If they were really serious about keeping patrons there, they would loop Wyatt Earp with its 3+ hour run time.

This all happened to me this week in hotels.

Scrolling and hit Godfather 1 - starting at the diner scene. Watched that and it rolled into 2, but had to leave just after Michael dressed down the Senator at the party.

Then later in the week, was watching Office reruns (another that will stop you and suck you in) and decided to see what else was on. Jason Bourne stopped me and it was basically at the beginning. Watched the whole thing before going to sleep too late.

Wow!! I would've done the same thing.
Both godfathers are such a stopdown for me. Two of the greatest movies ever made.

Ah, you want to talk Godfather.

One Sydney - SFO flight, I decided to watch all 3 Godfather movies - back-to back-to back.

After 9 hours of Godfather movies on a 15 hour flight. By the time I arrived in San Francisco, all I could wonder is - how are there any Italian men left after these morons have finished killing each other?

It's still a thing in hotels when the Direct TV or whatever lineup is all you got.

Great podcast on The Ringer network called "The Rewatchables". They go for 1.5-2.5 hours about most of the movies on this list and why they are stop-downs when you scroll across them.
