Loved Val. Sad for me. He owned so many roles. Ice, Doc, Mad Martian, etc.

But he'll always be Christ Knight to me.

I always thought Felon was one of his most underrated movies he's so menacing in it that you forget it's him.

My kids have been obessed with Batman Forever this month. Can't get enough of it. Mostly for all the characters not Batman. But fun to revisit that.

I loved Val in Kiss Kiss Bang Bang.

Listening to Chip Howard on KZNE in Aggieland. He has an entertainment segment today.

He said it is criminal that Val Kilmer didn't get nominated for an Academy Award for his portrayal of Doc Holliday in Tombstone. Chip said if he is flipping channels and stops on that one he is in for the rest of the movie every time.

I didn't realize Val had dated Cher. He's lucky he lived as long as he did.

RIP Val Kilmer
Felon, The Salton Sea and Wonderland were a great trio of strait to dvd/limited theatrical early 2000's Kilmer movies.

Almost cast Kilmer in 2019 but his schedule didn't work out. Ended up casting Tom Jane instead.

At poker night on Thursday we did a Val Kilmer tribute. We have 8 TVs in our poker room at our lodge.

4 were on Top Gun and 4 were on Tombstone. Watching them in parallel was kinda funny some of the parallels in scenes and the audio from Top Gun juxtaposed to the shootout at the OK corral for instance.

Great tribute though.

After we put on Real Genius and Top Gun Maverick.

We have little decor in our poker room - a few vegas and poker related things. But we have a framed poster signed by the four stars of Tombstone and another framed silhouette of Val as Doc Holliday with all of his various quotes creating the shape of his head with hat on. No movie is quoted more than Tombstone by us.
