Looks like Bruce has finally decided to open the vault again and release Tracks 2.

https://www.nytimes.com/2025/04/03/arts/music/bruce-springsteen-tracks-ii-the-lost-albums.html

"On June 27, Springsteen will release "Tracks II: The Lost Albums," a collection of 83 songs on seven CDs (or nine vinyl LPs), of which 74 have never been officially released in any form, according to an announcement from the star on Thursday"

This is great news and hopefully will have a USA tour to accompany the release starting in 2026.

Love the boss. Saw him in concert in Houston in 2000 and again in 2008. That 2000 show turned me on to so many songs that never got real radio play, I've never been the same.

Will set the over/under on anti-Boss comments on this thread at 44 billion.

Nebraska is my favorite Springsteen album. Hopefully there are some gems in these tracks.

Word on the street is we are getting an "electric" Nebraska album that will accompany the movie currently in production about the making of the Nebraska album.

It is killing me that he is only playing in Europe this summer. Very hopeful for another US tour next year but we will see. This is the 3rd year in a row that he has toured but Bruce knows he isn't getting any younger.

One of the best!
I will never miss a Texas show from here on out. Regret not doing his broadway show. But the whole album is on Spotify and Netflix.

I, too, enjoy the mumbling ranch hand persona that Bruce has perfected and marketed to his benefit.

Doubters should check out his 2019 release, Western Stars. It turned me from a "love the classics but he's lost it" kind of guy, to a believer.

You should fly to Europe to see him. Tickets cheaper over there

I did last summer. Saw him in London at Wembley Stadium and it was the best concert I've ever been to. Still haven't ruled out going again this summer but haven't decided to pull the trigger yet and I know I am running out of time.

Can I asked what you paid for travel, hotel and concert ticket?

As best I can remember:

Plane ticket round trip on British Airways was around $1500 for economy. I paid to pick my economy seat but was lucky and got upgraded to premium economy both ways.

I stayed at The Cavendish Hotel for 5 nights and I think that was also around $1500. Not somewhere I would stay again but it wasn't a bad experience either.

The concert tickets were a little over $400 each. I was sitting in the section closest to the stage in like row 5 so they were fantastic seats. Most European shows do all standing for the floor area and I wanted a seat.

All in it was not a cheap vacation but it was an incredible experience for my first time in London and first time seeing Bruce outside the US. Those Europeans absolutely love Bruce.

I'm a fan although I don't like his politics.

Haters should acknowledge he works hard every concert and cares about the fans.

Second, and related, he's honest like KISS (meaning Gene and Paul) are honest (give over the money)…

the working man stuff is an act. His father was the real one

Joe DePugh, speedball pitcher who inspired "Glory Days," dies.

Quote:

Joe DePugh, the Little League teammate of Bruce Springsteen who inspired the rocker's hit song "Glory Days," a rousing, bittersweet anthem to their hardscrabble childhoods in Freehold, N.J., where time passed by "in the wink of a young girl's eye," died on Friday in West Palm Beach, Fla. He was 75.

The cause of death, in a hospice facility, was metastatic prostate cancer, his brother Paul DePugh said.
In the early 1960s, before Mr. Springsteen became the Boss, he was a clumsy baseball player whose athletic abilities were so sad that Joe, the team's star pitcher, gave him the nickname Saddie.

"Bruce lost this big game for us one year," Mr. DePugh told The Palm Beach Post in 2011. "We stuck him out in right field all the time, where you think he's out of harm's way. But this important game, we had a bunch of guys missing, and we had to play him."

In the last inning, Saddie dropped an easy fly ball.

"Actually, it hit him on the head," Mr. DePugh said, "and we lost the game."

They remained friends in high school, bonding over their turbulent home lives and their distant, alcoholic fathers. After graduation, Saddie took off to play rock 'n' roll in bars and nightclubs. Joe, who excelled at multiple sports, tried out for the Los Angeles Dodgers but wound up playing basketball at King's College in Wilkes-Barre, Pa.

In 1973, when they had been out of touch for years, these two boyhood friends bumped into each other at the Headliner, a roadside bar in Neptune, near the Jersey Shore. Mr. Springsteen was walking in; Mr. DePugh was walking out.
