Howdy, TexAgs!
Quick intro: My name is Chase Colston, and I am one of the two owners/promoters of Troubadour Festival, a Texas barbecue and country music festival that is coming to Aggie Park at Texas A&M for the third time on Saturday, May 17.
First, it's a pleasure to meet all of you digitally. Secondly, I'd love to personally invite you and your crew to the festival this year. Whether you've attended before or this will be your first time, let me say that the ultimate Saturday of barbecue and country music is on tap for you.
This year features 25 of the best barbecue joints from all over Texas, plus we're showcasing Matt Pittman of Meat Church and four other Texas pitmasters (along with our friends at 44 Farms) in our all-new Meat Church & Friends Live Fire Experience.
Fifteen of this year's joints are on the 2021 Texas Monthly Top 50 list, with that number likely increasing when the new list comes out this year. Four of our restaurants were recently honored at the Michelin Guide awards last November, with InterStellar BBQ (#2 in Texas Monthly) receiving a coveted Michelin Star. Two other joints (Tejas Chocolate & Barbecue in Tomball and Blood Bros. BBQ in Houston) received Bib Gourmands, and 2M Smokehouse received a Michelin Recognition among the best BBQ joints in Texas.
You can see all of our participating BBQ joints and pitmasters here.
With a Troubadour VIP or BBQ & Music ticket, you'll have the opportunity to demolish as much of the incredible barbecue as you can handle, plus see all eight artists on both stages.
Speaking of artists, this is my favorite Aggie Park lineup yet. Shane Smith & The Saints were a part of our first lineup two years ago, and this year they are returning as our headliners. They're going to be joined by Randy Rogers and Wade Bowen on their Hold My Beer & Watch This Tour (if you've seen it before, you know it's killer), 49 Winchester, Josh Meloy, and Hudson Westbrook on our main stage. Our side stage will have Tyler Halverson, Jacob Stelly (an A&M graduate!), and JoJo DiSalvo.
Tickets are on sale now right here with four different options depending on your flavor. We sell tickets for just the concert and offer limited discounted tickets for students, active and retired military, educators, and first responders.
Speaking of tickets, I promised to give some away, so let's do it. Leave a comment with your favorite Texas barbecue restaurant, and next week I'll pick a winner to get two BBQ & Music tickets to this year's festival.
Thank y'all for your time and for supporting our small, family owned business. We're looking forward to coming back to Bryan-College Station on May 17!
