I have two more episodes to go, so no spoilers on how it ends, but season 5 has been the same fun train wreck as the other seasons, so far. It's good to have the show back in New York. We're interested to see Joe's fate now that this is the final season.

It's a guilty pleasure for my wife and me.

On my to watch list. Have to get through the craziness that is May 4th weekend as a Star Wars cosplayer first.

Made it through 3 episodes so far. It's fun, it's dumb, it's what I want.

I don't think my wife and I ever finished season 3. Worth picking back up?

It is what it is type of show. Like someone said before a guilty pleasure with fun story to go with it. I do think it will be fun to see how it finally plays out.

Guilty pleasure for me as well. I binged it this weekend. Without giving anything away, that ending was quite fitting and the story angles were well crafted. Pretty good way to wrap up the series, IMO

My wife loves this show. I literally fall asleep about 10-15 minutes in every time she starts back up watching it. Just can't get into it.

2 more eps to go here. I don't understand the hate for this show. It's been good every season. It's a little cheesy and far fetched, but nothing compared to a lot of shows. Looking forward to it coming to an end though. Dude can only make so many escapes.

I think Penn Badgley and the creators of You were trying to make Joe as horrific and unlikeable as possible so viewers would root against him. But I was still rooting for him in the end lol. Sucks this show is coming to an end.

I enjoyed it. He blamed others for his action to the very end. Solid finish and nothing that will change your world view but entertaining stuff.

I wasn't really a fan of how it ended.

Too neat and happily ever after for pretty much everyone other than Joe.

Shooting him in the dick? And the interview with Louise's podcast friends was too much "yay, girlpower" for me. The whole show has been about a guy who kills both men and women because of his obsessions and depravity--to me, at least, I haven't seen it as anti-women.

I don't disagree -- I guess my calling it "great" is a bit overstated because I've just become so jaded with series finales of late. It feels like it's rare to get a decent ending these days that doesn't leave you wanting a lot more. I do agree there was a lot of convenience and cheese to it....and even maybe some overly feminist overtones.

The ending was pretty unbelievable but satisfying nonetheless. I mostly liked it. Season 4 was pretty weird to me and I liked season 5 better.

As for girl power, although men and women were both killed, the root of it was always his fixation on a woman.

As much as he deserved to die, life in prison is a better punishment for him. Death is too kind. He begged for it!
I do wish they hadn't injured Kate and Bronte as badly, so their survival wasn't quite a stretch. Bronte could have "faked" the drowning, and had she not been shot, it would have been more believable (ankle aside). But I guess that wasn't the point. I love that the women teamed up to take Joe down.

Do you at least wake up when she finishes an episode to have some fun?

I watched the first 3 seasons but missed season 4.

Can I just watch season 5 or do I need to start with 4 so I don't miss anything?

I would pick back up with 4. You don't HAVE to but otherwise you will be confused as to how/why Joe is where he is now.

I thought it ended well overall

Regarding the survival of the two heroines - I think one of them should have died for it to really hit. I know we're suspending belief in a TV show, but one of them had to have gotten the axe.

I believe Kate's survival more than Bronte's (and let's not get into Bronte going into a burning building, hauling Joe up the stairs, and back out of the burning). Not only did Bronte not drown, but she found the gun and found Joe in the woods all the while not running into any police? I was thinking she was a hallucination until the gun went off, which IMO would have been a better ending.

Just finished this. The final couple of scenes were really well done wrapping everything up. And yeah somewhat unbelievable but the final little monologue was about perfect

Just finished this last night. Great finale and I'm glad they ended it the way they did.

This show was weird. At times I felt myself pulling for Joe, but other times, and certainly toward the end, I was like, "screw this psycho." I think my favorite part of the show was the internal dialogue voiceover of Joe. It was very reminiscent of Dexter. Not exactly the same show, but very similar.

I thought the acting for Marienne was VERY good. I don't remember what it was like in S3, but she did a marvelous job conveying the pain, fear, and anger that she has from Joe.

I would never pursue a woman like Kate, but she had a certain sexiness to her that was hard to put my finger on.

Pretty incredible journey and loved that in the end it's Joe that's back in a cage.

We finished the last episode last night. Joe alive and in prison was a strong ending, although they could have had about 3000 different jokes about his prison life - he's crying to Bronte that he won't have anyone to love; and they could flash right to him laying next to some 500-pound sweaty guy in a bunk.

We also thought they might go with the Joker / Harley Quinn ending, where he's about to go to his first appoitment with the prison psychologist and we just see a smile or a leg or something and he does his Hello, You.

Or that same scenario but the psychologist is a woman but like 68 years old and a chain smoker.

Anyway, he'll be missed. We looked it up this morning - he killed 23 people in all n the show. Solid effort.

This would've been a way better ending.
