Steve Perry's voice is gone. People still dream that he'd reunite with Journey, but it would sound horrible.

"Version" may be too kind.
I was a huge Steve Perry fan as a kid, and I respect him for being willing to put his voice out there as it is, he doesn't need the money, he must just enjoy singing.

The 1981 Journey Houston Concert that is on youtube is flawless. He's sprinting all over the stage and his voice sounds perfect. I saw them in 1983, but I was only 9 and can't remember how good the show was. My dad bought me an awesome Frontiers tour 83 t-shirt though.

You could go to any bar on karaoke night and hear a better cover. Willie was bad enough but I couldn't get beyond the first 10 seconds of Steve Perry's part.
