From writer/director Jesse Armstrong, the creator of Succession, this feels damn near identical to a Succession bottle episode, except the satire is dialed up another 15% or so and it's not quite as good as any single episode. That said, it's still a worthwhile watch, the dialogue rings exactly the same, and the second half turns into a pretty entertaining, if not incredibly cynical conceit. It also features a great cast - Steve Carell, Jason Schwartzman, Ramy Youssef, and Cory Michael Smith - along with a quick, 1h 48m runtime. So if you're looking for something to watch at home and are at all into this sort of thing, need a Succession fix, etc, I don't think you'll be disappointed, as long as you don't go in expecting the real McCoy...

I enjoyed it, was just surprised how little pickup or marketing push was behind it.

Good balance of cringe billionaire bull****, dark comedy, and dread.

It felt like a 3 hour watch to me for some reason, but it wasn't slow. Not feel good at all, maybe that's why I felt that way

Incredibly, Armstrong shot the entire movie in March/April. As in less than three months ago. Schedule-wise, for whatever reason, he wanted to treat the production like an extended episode of traditional television, with a super quick turnaround, etc. So I'm betting that had something to do with why it wasn't marketed more heavily, seeing as the entire production was lighting fast and only just completed. Also, it released on the final day of May - the Emmy cutoff date for the year - which I'm guessing had something to do with it as well (though I don't see it winning any awards, but who knows).

It was good but not great. Left some meat on the bone. I thought it could have gotten a little more full tilt but it was enjoyable. Maybe I'm just that twisted.

Didn't care for it. Just not my style I guess. The wife got bored and went to sleep, so she had a very short review - "boorrrrring AF!".

I just.... what was the point of the movie?

I liked it. I laughed a lot.

Fell asleep in the sofa. No desire to rewatch what I missed.

Riding Ski Doo sleds while wearing Polaris suits was comical.
