...on Pluto TV.

But hey, just in time for the new movie. Just figured I'd give a heads up since it's been incredibly hard to find for the last 23 years.

It is! I caught that yesterday and finally got a chance to watch it. I liked it much better than the second one, which I watched immediately. After seeing the trailer for the new one I was bummed that you couldn't watch the original (until recently.)

I haven't seen any of these. I've wanted to, but the first hasn't been available for years and I didn't want to start with the second. I'll have to watch them this week.

28 Weeks Later had way too much shaky-cam and was cheesy with the super-indestructible monster Dad played by Robert Carlyle who not only managed to survive every single eradication measure the army threw at London but could track down his kids and pop up at the most inopportune times.

But I'm still looking forward to this 3rd one.

I watched it last night. Hadn't seen it since the theaters. Crazy how much of the movie I'd forgotten.

The biggest things that had stuck with me all this time were the opening shots of empty London, the scene of the blood falling into the dude's eyeball, and the awesome score.

Movie still rocks. The low-fi digital quality of the image I think adds a layer of realism to the movie.

Will watch 28 Weeks Later in the next few days.

I still don't know how they did this without CGI.

"In the House - In a Heartbeat" played during the mansion chaos at the end is one of the hardest hitting scores, IMO. It was so good, they used it in the film "Kick Ass".

So I had no idea this was a licensed track and not part of the actual score of the movie.

It sounds like it was specifically written for those deserted street shots, it fits so perfectly.

I noticed they hadn't been available to purchase even on digital platforms until pretty recently, I was looking when the trailer for the new movie dropped a few months back and at least one of the films was only available on Blu-Ray/DVD.
