About a month ago I was traveling for work, and I stumbled in to a series called "Long Way Home" featuring Ewan McGregor and his pal Charley boorman prepping to ride vintage bikes across Europe
But an episode in, I noticed that this is the 4th installment of the show, so I went back and watched the first three seasons to get the back story.
If you haven't seen this show, clear space in your phone, or make it the wind-down show before bed each night. It's absolutely fantastic
Season 1 takes these two and a crew from London to New York City, the long way round through Russia, Mongolia, hop a flight to Alaska and then through the US to arrive in NYC.
Season 2 goes from Scotland to the southern tip of Aouth Africa
Season 3, done on electric Harleys, goes from Patagonia up to Los Angeles
The scenery of this show is incredible. Places that none of us will ever go to, off the beaten path and then some fill the screen and your head
The group of guys all seem legitimately human while being on a camera for the treks
I've never been a motorcycle rider, but it really has me considering looking into it as I get into my 40's.
In a time full of politics and sports anger, this show is a great escape.
You can download all of it now on Apple +
4 1/2 thumbs up
