Ashley is a horrible winner and she perfectly encapsulates this season. She had no strategy. She floated by getting in with the majority alliance and stuck around because she was ZERO threat. She barely played big brother.
The jury was so bitter (and dumb) that her lawyer voice really convinced them that she put work in. Vince needed to capitalize on the fact that he put up more than half the house, yet still had legit final 2s with most or them. But no matter what, he wouldn't have won with this jury. I thought Rachel would talk sense into them after the questions with Cody, but she voted for her floater friend in the end.

There is a ton of chatter on reddit from the live feed watchers regarding Ashley's gameplay. Apparently, she did a lot behind the scenes to drive her views into nominations and votes. None of this stuff made it into the televised episodes.

As a TV-only fan, I have a less charitable view of her performance. More hardcore BB feed watchers say she did deserve to win.

Hardcore fans just trying to justify the amount of time spent watching this show where a "player" didn't win. Going to be real boring next year when no one wants to win comps since they obviously don't matter and only put a target on your back.

exactly. This whole season was weak bc no one wanted to hurt anyones feelings. So they just all kept nominating the same people.

IMO they need to remove the BB Blockbuster and 3 noms.

it takes all the cut throat play out of the game.

Agreed, but there needs to be something to replace it. Otherwise the Thursday show will become incredibly boring again. If you backdoor someone, it's almost always predestined that person is going home, and you've got 20 minutes of airtime you have to fill. Unless you want to go back to those interviews from home, which I don't think anyone wants that.

The seasons where you have two main alliances going after each other are the best seasons. Sadly there hasn't been a season like that in forever. Instead of group alliances, you've got these voting blocks and they ruin the game over time.

Return to broadcasting the Thursday HOH comps. Show the quick comps and winner, or begin the longer comps (wall, etc) and tease the result for Sunday.

BB+3 is watering down the early HOH, almost to point where you don't want to win it for the first three or so...

Julie can still do the exit interviews, just say they will be shown on "BB Unlocked." They need the content bad.

I must be in the minority because I LOVE the 3 nominees. It forces people to get more blood on their hands. But I do agree with the blockbuster watering it down.

in theory I dont hate it but the trade off is you dont see big moves anymore.and that makes it not worth it.

because most the time a "big move" is against someone who is good at comps. so no one wants to go for it and then that person win the BBB.

Which is what happened with Keanu all season. The solution would be to get more people like the ones playing Survivor that all know you can't win without getting your hands a little dirty. That's a casting problem BB has.

I agree with you. It was so boring that I stopped watching it regularly after Lauren was HOH and obviously didn't want to piss anyone off with her noms. Re-treads. (Kelly) I also do not like the return of experienced veteran players. I think Rachel being on there had an affect on how everyone didn't want to step on toes. I do not know who she is related to at CBS or is sleeping with, but Rachel needs to GO AWAY!

agree completely. Players saying to her face that she is such a legend was so pathetic.

Finally caught up. Glad Morgan and Vince didn't win.

What was with that last Morgan win when she started saying something about getting a message about someone named Ava being a replacement? Production quickly cut away and Ashley was like "we're live" and Morgan looked like she messed up.

I'm glad Keanu won Americas Vote. He was the only one deserving.

Has anyone done a welfare check on Vince? That dude had a full blown meltdown on his last comp. And multiple others throughout the game when he said he was a failure. I'm sure coming home to no girlfriend didn't help (he deserved that, I'm glad she left him).

For the whole season Morgan had thought Ava was the Mastermind Accomplice because before the season she mistakenly received a message about an alternate named Ava and didn't tell anyone. Since the Accomplice was the 17th houseguest she connected that to being an alternate, when really Ava as an alternate in sequester to replace another HG. Once Ava was evicted, Morgan started to reveal that info just as the cameras went back live.

Vince's downward spiral started Thursday night after losing Part 1 of the final HoH, then got worse Friday night after losing Part 2. When Morgan was non-committal in taking him to final 2, some soap-opera level drama went down in the hot tub on Friday night and in the hammock on Saturday. Ashley put in a lot of work during the week to convince Morgan that Vince had the votes in jury and it would be close if Morgan took him to final 2, reality was Ashley knew Morgan would sweep both of them in final 2.

It will be hard to convince most casual viewers that Ashley had a strong social game which led to her winning, mostly because production was too focused on showmances, Rachel/Keanu, and comp winners. The final 3 players had three different strategies/ways to win BB.

I like the 3 nominations and blockbuster comp before jury starts. It keeps the live feeds interesting for the whole week, instead being completely dead on Tuesday and Wednesday after the Monday veto meeting and votes are decided. It was dumb to have it post-jury. I do hope they keep the accelerated nominations the final two weeks, really helped kill a lot of dead time usually seen late in the seasons.

I would be curious how much CBS cares about the feeds vs the drama of the show.

BBB and 3 noms definitely makes the show less cut throat/entertaining.

The large majority of viewers are TV only, that is what CBS cares about the most. IMO the live feeds are only still around to offset some costs of production staff being there 24/7 to record/edit content for the show.

Live feeds have gone downhill after they removed the ability rewind any of the four camera feeds to catch conversations from any previous day. They also have a quick trigger finger to cut feeds for any controversial content, copyright violations (singing), talking about comp details before they air, or talking about people/family that didn't sign a waiver.

I've switched to mainly watching live feed youtube podcasts to keep up. Just have to know the podcast biases and listen around the bias to get the info

The positive for watching live feeds, you get two reality shows for the price of one: Feeds version and TV version

Get rid of the writers and producers as well. Burn it down and go back to old school and cast smartly.
