I feel like it is time to update the list of kids shows we all (with kids) have to end up watching.

The current list of shows I can not stand watching with my kids:
Paw patrol, super kitties, cocomelon (I don't let the kids watch), Dora the explorer, mickey mouse clubhouse, Minnie mouse show, Gabby playhouse, spidey and his amazing friends.

And some kids superhero movie starring Pedro Pascal. Awful.

Shows I love watching with my kids:
Bluey, Phineas and Ferb (such a great show that we found through texags), original xmen cartoon (new one is a bit scary for kids my daughters age but we did try it), pokemon, first couple seasons of SpongeBob, Digimon, numberblocks, story bots content.

For movies, we have really been into the spiderverse (miles morales) movies. Mitchell's vs machines. Going through all the Kung fu panda movies, Shrek movies, and other animated movies.

I just love the kids shows that are made just as much for adults.

What shows should we give a chance? What shows should I make sure we continue avoiding at all costs?

The two shows I remember love watching with my kids were Teen Titans Go and The Amazing World of Gumball.

I was really presently surprised when my teenagers mentioned watching the new season of Phineas and Ferb, a show we all loved when they were much younger.

We watched a few episodes together and it still really works.

I'll watch Big City Greens, Kiff, and Bluey with my kids.

Cocomelon and Calliou are banned in our house.

I'm 46 years old and I still watch Spongebob. I loved watching the new Ducktales with my son, and now my daughter is watching it.

Demon Spawn loved Animatics.

Now he is obsessed with Rick and Morty. But that is not kid friendly

Mine are 2, 2, 4: I like Trash Truck (Netflix, especially before bed), Spirit Rangers (Netflix), Gigantosaurus (Netflix), PJ Masks (Disney), Spidey and his Amazing Friends (Disney)

Hate: Superkitties, Cocomelon (we'll only let the kids watch one or two songs maybe)

Not a show but I actually like the Danny Go! videos, especially when it's raining outside or something and I'm just trying to come up with some kind of physical activity for everyone

My first liked Daniel Tiger and then they had some episode about him stomping around when he was mad. Nope. You and your French grandpa can GTFO.

Gravity Falls and Amazing World of Gumball were great. We also enjoyed Regular Show a lot.

Bluey and Wild Kratts are fine by me. The rest of it gets exhausting after 3 minutes.

This is exactly us. Those are the only two shows I can watch, and I actually love them.

I'm of the opinion that Cocomelon and Caillou are child abuse.

Good to know about the me Ducktales though. We've been showing the kids the old one along with Chip and Dale's Rescue Rangers. Animaniacs on deck.

This is for all you Caillou haters (I stand with you)

Caillou can't grow hair, not because he has cancer or progeria, but because he sucks, and even his own body recognizes that he does not deserve hair or food or love.

These two and Regular Show.

For all three I could only imagine the hilarity as the writers brainstorm their ideas which, while covering a lot of pop cultural references, include many from Gen X era.

Gumball episode The Routine which is primarily Conan the Barbarian but includes The Never Ending Story.

Regular Show episode, 150-Piece Kit, with Benson playing drums like Tommy Lee and little jokes like the following when Mordecai introduces the band Hair to the Throne:
Quote:

Of course, we know you guys. Gunner Von Strauss, lead guitar. Oggy Ogostrom, lead vocals. The bass player. (The bass player frowns.)

And also from Gumball, the Highlander episode which opens with MacLeod facing off versus Fasil

In the early 70s was not a fan of Sesame Street ... but did like Electric Co. and ZOOM.

Cartoon wise: hated Hong Kong Phooey... maybe it was the voice actor that did Hong Kong.

Johnny Qwest cartoon was the king of the hill when it came to cartoons... along with the old school Loony Toons, Tom & Jerry, and Felix the Cat. .

Bluey for sure. They throw in so many great references for parents. The facial expressions of the characters almost tell more of a story than the dialogue. Bandit Heeler is my favorite modern TV dad.

My son just got into Phineas and Ferb, and I think it's hilarious. The opening credits alone crack me up.

He also discovered the Nickelodeon TMNT series from a decade ago (Netflix) with Sean Astin as the voice of Raphael. That's a fun series.

That's on repeat at my house.

Besides the already mentioned greatness of Bluey & I do love some Wild Krats, Aquanauts is pretty good.
